Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 14 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of www.maximalmuseum.com and purchases from Maximal Museum. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and Shipping, Returns & Cancellations Policy before placing an order.

Using the Website

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, create an account or purchase a membership.

Provide accurate contact, billing and delivery information. If you create an account, keep your login details secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must not use the website for unlawful purposes, interfere with its operation or attempt to access accounts or systems without authorisation.

Products & Descriptions

Maximal Museum offers The Bulletin, jewellery and, as available, ceramics and home décor.

Our physical products are made to order. Product pages describe the relevant materials, dimensions, finishes, sizing and making timelines.

Handcrafted pieces and natural materials may carry small variations in colour, texture, markings and finish. Screen settings may also affect how colours appear. These variations do not excuse defects or material differences from the product description.

Please review the details before ordering. For questions about a piece, write to hi@maximalmuseum.com.

Orders & Acceptance

After checkout, you receive an order acknowledgement. This confirms receipt of your order.

We may need to verify payment, availability or order details before accepting an order. If we cannot fulfil it, we will notify you and refund any payment collected for the unfulfilled order.

If a material error in pricing or product information affects your order, we will explain it and give you the option to proceed on the corrected terms or cancel for a refund. We will not charge an additional amount without your agreement.

Prices & Payments

Prices are displayed in Indian rupees. Applicable taxes and shipping charges are shown before payment.

The Bulletin membership price includes taxes, packaging and postage within India. Shipping charges for other products, where applicable, are displayed at checkout.

Payments are processed through Razorpay and the relevant payment providers. You must be authorised to use the payment method supplied.

Price changes do not alter an order already accepted or a membership period already paid for. Any change to a recurring membership price will be communicated before it applies, with an opportunity to cancel future renewal.

The Bulletin Membership

Quarterly and annual memberships renew automatically unless you cancel autopay before the next renewal payment is processed. The price and billing frequency are displayed when you subscribe.

Your first regular Bulletin issue is dispatched on the 1st of the month following your subscription. Subsequent regular issues are dispatched on the 1st of each month during your membership.

Annual memberships include the additional birthday Bulletin described on the membership page. Please provide your correct birthday month. Contact us before subscribing if you need clarification about its scheduling.

Cancelling autopay stops future renewal payments. You continue to receive the remaining issues in your current prepaid membership. We do not provide prorated refunds for change-of-mind cancellations.

If a renewal payment fails, we may pause issues for the unpaid membership period and contact you to resolve the payment.

For membership or cancellation assistance, email hi@maximalmuseum.com.

Making, Dispatch & Delivery

Orders are dispatched from Mumbai through reputed courier partners to serviceable PIN codes within India.

Jewellery requires three weeks from order confirmation for making and dispatch. Ceramics and home décor timelines are stated on their product pages.

Dispatch dates refer to when a parcel leaves our studio. Courier transit time is additional. Delivery estimates are provided with your order or dispatch confirmation.

If an order is delayed, we will communicate the revised timeline. Nothing in these terms removes remedies available under applicable law for late or undelivered orders.

Delivery Addresses

For The Bulletin, send address changes to hi@maximalmuseum.com before the 25th of the month preceding dispatch.

For other products, confirm your address when placing your order. Contact us promptly about any error; changes depend on the stage of fulfilment.

If an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by you requires redelivery, you pay the actual redelivery cost. We will confirm that cost before resending the parcel.

Cancellations, Returns & Replacements

Because products are made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind cancellations, returns or exchanges after order confirmation.

Damaged, defective, incorrect, materially misdescribed and undelivered orders are handled under our Shipping, Returns & Cancellations Policy and applicable Indian consumer law.

Please report visible delivery issues within 24 hours where possible, with your order number and supporting photographs. We recommend recording a continuous unboxing video. The absence of a video or a later report does not, by itself, exclude a valid statutory claim.

Where an issue arises from our making, packing or delivery process, we arrange an appropriate replacement at our expense. If replacement is unavailable, we provide an applicable refund or other remedy required by law.

Product Care

Follow the care and usage instructions supplied with each product.

Accidental damage after delivery, misuse, improper care and normal wear are outside our replacement policy. This does not limit claims relating to an inherent defect or other rights under applicable law.

Our Content & Designs

Unless otherwise stated, Maximal Museum owns or licenses the website’s original text, photographs, artwork, product designs, graphics and branding.

You may browse the website and use purchased products and Bulletin issues for personal purposes. Purchasing a product does not transfer intellectual property rights in its design or content.

You must not reproduce, distribute, publish or commercially exploit protected content without permission, except where permitted by law.

Information You Send Us

Please only send information and images that you are authorised to share.

We use correspondence, photographs and videos submitted for customer support to assess and resolve your enquiry, as described in our Privacy Policy. Submission does not give us permission to publish them as marketing material; we will seek separate permission for that use.

Website Availability & External Services

We take reasonable steps to keep the website accurate and available. Access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, technical issues or circumstances beyond our control.

The website may link to third-party websites or use external payment and delivery services. Those providers have their own terms and privacy practices. Their involvement does not remove Maximal Museum’s responsibilities to you under applicable law.

Events Beyond Our Reasonable Control

Events such as natural disasters, government restrictions or major transport disruptions may affect fulfilment.

Where this happens, we will communicate the impact and available options. Any cancellation or refund rights will be assessed under applicable law.

Liability & Consumer Rights

Each party’s responsibility for loss or damage is determined under applicable Indian law.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or restricts your statutory consumer rights. Where a provision conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, that requirement prevails.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share personal information when you browse, create an account, subscribe or purchase.

Acceptance of these terms does not constitute consent to optional promotional communications.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as our services or legal obligations change. The current version will appear on this page.

Changes will not retrospectively reduce rights relating to an accepted order or prepaid membership. Material changes affecting future membership renewals will be communicated before they apply, with an opportunity to cancel renewal.

Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by Indian law.

If you have a concern, please contact us so we can work towards a resolution. You retain the right to approach the competent consumer commission, court or other authority available under applicable law.
